Optimize Midlife
Menopause Clarity, Smarter Meals, Better Coffee
This is a season of Thanksgiving and gratitude and one of the things I’m most thankful for this year is that you are here, that you trust me enough to open these emails, to read my content, and engage with my videos. That is such an honor that I do not take lightly. Your trust motivates me to do the work to ensure I’m accurately sharing what the science says is true, is effective, and also what is working in my practice as well. I thank you for that and I’m humbled and honored to have worked alongside many clients this year to improve their energy, their health, and to live with purpose. My cup is full!
I have thoroughly enjoyed working with more people on improving their gut health this year as well. That has been a tremendous honor and challenge in the best way to really help people move the needle on feeling better from an inside-out-approach.
I am also incredibly grateful for the opportunity to travel around the country and present on the topic of menopause to health care practitioners. They have been so hungry for good information about how to educate their patients on what is effective in nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle changes. It has been so rewarding. My vision has been to turn this content into something that can reach women who want to learn about menopause for themselves, wherever they are.
I’m finally doing it!
I’m bringing you this program called Menopause Made Clear. My hope is that this program is going to be so helpful in fixing the statistic that has driven my passion this year: Data suggests that 52% of women enter into their menopause journey with zero knowledge about what’s going on. This lights me up to make a difference in this space.
I want to better educate women in order to change that number. That’s what Menopause Made Clear is. It’s your ground zero, step one to better educating yourself on what is menopause, what is happening, what are the signs and symptoms to look out for, and to not be afraid of it but instead to know what to do next.
I’m cutting out the noise and confusion and giving you a clear place to start.
I will bring you science-based nutrition and lifestyle principles that will help with women not just deal with symptoms but build a resilient body that enables them to live with purpose and energy for the rest of their life. Women will be empowered to better seek out the healthcare they need and want and to have empowered conversations with their physicians about things like hormone therapy and symptoms.
Are you ready?
I wish you a very happy season of Thanksgiving!

Pumpkin Recipe Roundup
As the seasons shift, my cravings do too. Gone are the bright, fresh flavors of summer… now I find myself drawn to the cozy tastes of fall. I want richer, warmer flavors in my meals and heartier produce on my plate. Do you feel that same pull toward seasonal comfort?
This is the perfect time to bring pumpkin into the spotlight, and I’ve rounded up some of my favorite pumpkin recipes from the blog to inspire your kitchen this month:
No Bake Pumpkin Balls - the perfect way to enjoy pumpkin spice flavor in a healthy and cooler snack bite. They are gluten free, dairy free and vegan but 100% yummy. The texture and flavor resemble that of pumpkin pie.
Pumpkin Spice Super Food Smoothie - tastes like pumpkin mousse and is full of powerful nutrition.
Pumpkin Spice Scones - the perfect complement to a cup of coffee and a good conversation.
Pumpkin Spice Apple Overnight Oats - the perfect breakfast to make ahead for busy mornings in individual jars.
Pumpkin Apple Mini Muffins - great for snacking or giving as a DIY gift.
Pumpkin Chocolate Muffins - because no one should choose between healthy, pumpkin and chocolate.
Honey Pumpkin Whole Wheat Muffins - sweetened only with honey and super-moist.

The Family Behind the Produce
At my national dietitian conference in October, I had the opportunity to connect with the tart cherry group that represents the farmers who grow cherries here in the U.S. I’ve been able to visit different types of farms across the country over the years, and something that always stands out is this: real families are the ones growing our food.
I love this video because it helps put a face and story to the people behind the produce we see in our grocery stores. When you buy conventional produce, you’re often supporting American family farms… farms that are working hard to stay operating as we continue to lose farmland in the U.S. Supporting them matters for our future food supply.
This video is simply a beautiful reminder of who grows our food and why it’s worth valuing and supporting them.
Coffee Quality Matters
Purity Coffee is a company I also connected with at my national conference. One of my fellow gut health dietitians really loves them because of their strong commitment to quality and purity in coffee. They do extensive testing to ensure their beans are free from molds, pesticides, and mycotoxins.
I also appreciate that they offer a gentle, lower acidity coffee option for those who find regular coffee a bit harsh on the stomach. And good news for convenience lovers, they now have K Cups as well. Visit their website HERE and use code JENNARDN for 20% off for new customers.
